Fun Packed Weekend By: Ski, on May 12, 2014 Pros: Swimming Pool Cons: Weather, Bingo "We have stayed here before and again went for a platinum caravan. This wasn't as good as before. It was a brand new van and nicely kitted out but just wasn't as big as platinum vans we've had before and there was no outside decking like we've had before. Also, it was lumped in with the more budget vans rather than being in the 'nicer' part of the park. That also meant there was no dedicated parking, which was a shame. We had fun though and the swimming pool was great. Maybe a little on the cold side but then the doors were always open which seemed a little odd. Food was OK although portions smaller than we've had in other Park Holidays parks. The children's entertainers were great - hats off to them. The only downer with the evening entertainment was the perpetual bingo. This seems to have got worse and got earlier? Anyway, there were two lots of bingo games, one at 18:45 and the next at 19:00 pretty much up to 19:45. so, for the optimum period for younger children to dance and play games, they can't and have to be quiet while the bingo is being played. Shame. I can only imagine this is done to extract as much extra money as possible at the expense of the children. We had fun though - even though the weather was pretty bad, so overall happy. |

Landed on our Feet By: Joe, on April 8, 2014 Pros: Caravan Cons: Location "Wow. We got a great deal and went for a platinum caravan and totally landed on our feet as we were given a privately owned caravan instead of a resort one and it was just amazing - pure luxury and a bargain for the price. It's a nice park too, right on the sea but it is a bit isolated and the nearest place nearby is Jaywick which is an interesting place if you've never been. Just wear your stab vest! |
